In the rough we use a traditional granular fertilizer that has a pre-emergent herbicide mixed with it to prevent crabgrass from germinating.  On tee and fairway turf, we have applied 1 application of a granular fertizler with crabgrass control and then we will spray a second application of the pre-emergent herbicide in the middle of June.  This second application is an addition to our agronomic program this year to boost our rate of active ingredient herbicide to help prevent breakthrough in late August and September.
